• No, MS Roof Anchor provides preinstalled cap on each anchor.

Can the MS Roof Support be cut to a shorter height?

• Yes, the MS Roof Anchor can be cut to a specific height. The cap is removed and replaced in the MS Roof Anchor.

Can the MS Roof Support be adjusted to accommodate the slope of the roof?

• Yes, the MS Roof Anchor can be adjusted up to ½” with a shim to make the anchor vertically level. (see detail 3 on the beam detail sheet and detail 2 on the truss detail sheet.)

Can the mechanical screen extend higher than the MS Roof Anchor?

• No, the mechanical screen must not extend higher than the MS Roof Anchor. Consult the engineer of record if the mechanical screen extends above the MS Roof Anchor.

What size beams does the MS Roof Support attach to?

• RAS-35-4 – 4x Beam (3 1/2”)
• RAL-55-8 – 6x Beam (5 ½”)

Can a 5 ¼” engineered wood be used instead of a 6x beam?

• Yes, a 3/8” filer is added to the side of the beam and 3” SDS screws are used on that side. (see detail 2 on the Beam Detail sheet) Link

Is there a square flashing for the MS Roof Support.

• Yes, 2”x2” & 3”x3” flashing is common and readily available. Link
